On Tuesday 30th April, Meon Junior took a team of children to compete in the under 9’s Portsmouth School’s football tournament at Goals. It was the first time the children had played together as a team. They faced some tough competition, especially in the semi-final and the final. The school was most proud of their excellent team work , which was highlighted brilliantly by the team nominating Lily to take the decisive penalty in the final to enable her to get on the scoresheet after playing fantastically throughout!
Well done Team!
This achievement comes after the recent successes of both our U11 Girls and U10 Boys teams , who also won the Portsmouth Cup for their respective tournaments.
