Severe Nut and Sesame Allergy at Meon Junior School

URGENT – ESSENTIAL READING FOR ALL PARENTS/CARERS/GUARDIANS

We currently have children in the school with severe nut and sesame allergies.

Please be aware and do not send any food into school that contains nuts, sesame seeds or foods that contain sesame seeds i.e hummus, pesto, nutella, kinder bueno etc.

An incident occurred, at home, last week and one child ended up in hospital following ingestion of a food item containing nuts.

This is a very severe, life threatening condition and, as a school, we take this very seriously. We would encourage all parents to visit the Anaphylaxis Awareness Campaign – www.anaphylaxis.org.uk
