Portsmouth City Council’s Pompey Monsters scheme encourages children to actively travel (walk, cycle or scoot) to school. Active travel is known to have a positive effect on children’s health and wellbeing and helps to improve the city’s air quality by reducing reliance on car travel.
During the school summer holidays, children can take part in a treasure hunt, Stomp for Stamps. Now in its second year, Stomper and his friends are back with four new routes, a new, reduced contact format and a choice of prizes.
Children can have fun getting out and about this summer with Stomper’s fantastic treasure hunt – Stomp for Stamps 2020! Track down Pompey monsters, snap their photos and collect stickers to claim your prize – a cuddly Stomper toy or a cool Pompey Monster water bottle. To take part, sign up for a map book online now via myjourneyportsmouth.com/stompforstamps2020. or pick one up from a participating library (from 23 July).
