Dear parents/carers,
It was an exciting week at Meon Junior last week, with pupils from our year 6 representing Portsmouth in the English Football League for kids and winning themselves a place in the final at Wembley on Saturday 21st May 2022.
On Friday as I walked round the school, I could not be prouder of your children who were all engaged in their learning and demonstrating our values of focus and independence in their learning.
Our year leaders (Year 3 Miss Gale, Year 4 Miss Duncan, Year 5 Mrs Finch and Year 6 Mrs Wallace) are all working really hard to give your children extra curricular experiences that provide them with cultural capital. Meon Junior School defines cultural capital as the essential knowledge that we want all children to have to be educated citizens, as well as being well prepared for future success. We would appreciate your support for our planned activities.
