A Year 4 pupil from Meon Junior School has been spreading the Christmas spirit of joy and generosity by sharing bags of sweets with residents of a local care home.
Blake made up 200 bags of sweets to give to the occupants of Admiral Jellicoe House, which is a specialist veterans care home based on Locksway Road in Milton.
The admirable boy wanted to give gifts to those living at the home, as he felt some of them may not have family to visit, so he wanted to give them a gift to show his generosity and all they’ve done to serve the country through their career in the service.
The opportunity arose as a result of his mum approaching the school to see if they could help Blake create the bags of sweets to give. This was a wonderful gesture, and everyone at Moorings Way Federation is really proud of what he has done for the community.
