Dear Parents/Carers,

What a half term we have had!

Here are some highlights from our Year leaders:

Miss Gale in Year 3 said - 'Some of Year 3 attended a multi skills festival and showed good team work. The children have really improved their reading skills and are much more independent in answering questions about our book The Firework Makers Daughter'.

Miss Duncan in Year 4 said - 'The children have been great this half term, showing positivity, determination and all with smiles on their faces. We have loved learning about the Saxons and developing our team work with our potato friends.'

Mrs Finch-Judd in Year 5 said - 'Our highlight of Year 5 has to be Stubbington and activities week. Even though it was a packed half-term with trips and swimming, it was amazing to see the children enjoying themselves taking part in activities they'd never done before. We were able to experience so many amazing things and it was a pleasure to see the children having so much fun.

Mrs Wallace in Year 6 said - 'Year 6 have really enjoyed their painting in the style of Lichtenstein, gymnastics with the Portsmouth School partnership and performance poetry. Watching the story of 'Alma' inspired their writing at the start of term too. The biggest highlight has to be the girls football team winning the Portsmouth football tournament and they will now represent Portsmouth in the Hampshire games.

Have a wonderful half term holiday.

Warm Regards

Mrs Sara Paine
