The Geography curriculum is designed and moulded around the principle to: help children understand the diverse places, people, resources and environment of their planet.
They will explore the features of both the human and physical world and the relationships between them. Over time, our planet and its people has changed dramatically and will continue to do so both under the influences of natural and unnatural forces. It is our role as geographers to monitor this and explain patterns, trends, causes and outcomes associated with it. Our children develop this knowledge through a combination of work inside and outside of the classroom. Fieldwork is regularly conducted to provide the opportunity to collect, analyse and communicate data using a range of methods. Pupils will explore not only the geography of their local area but also that of other cities, countries and continents across the globe.
