Our Science curriculum is designed to provide children with the opportunity to broaden their scientific view of the world around them and the scientific principles which govern what we observe.
They will do this by exploring, discussing and testing the world they see around them. This will then allow them to build on everyday concepts into those which are more abstract and complex. Children will learn to explore a range of scientific principles including: the relationships and interactions between objects/ideas; how things change over time; the development of patterns in science; and the grouping and classification of objects. Our pupils work to develop their understanding whilst working scientifically at every opportunity possible. They are encouraged to ask questions, conduct and report on their own experiments and also explore the work of other scientists. The combination of knowledge and skills allows our children to lead their own learning into the science which surrounds them.
