Reading

There are many benefits of reading including learning new words, stimulating the mind and developing knowledge.  Each year group within our school integrates reading into every subject and all reading should be recorded in the Reading Passports/reading diaries daily or a minimum of three times a week.  We ask that all pupils bring their logs in daily so that we can see how they are progressing.  There may be quizzes linked to the books that are being read and the points scored will help towards their Accelerated Reading targets.

Pupils are responsible for changing their own books which can be done before school, at lunchtimes, weekly allocated library slots and after school.  All login and passwords for Accelerated Reader, and those on Lexia, can be found inside the Reading Passports.
