School Houses at Meon Junior School.

At Meon Junior School each pupil is assigned a house.  Each week pupils earn habit points for showing our 8 habits of mind in the classroom. Each week we have a winning house with the most habit points. The benefits of this is that it develops a healthy competitive spirit among the pupils and a sense of unity. It also encourages every pupil to feel an integral part of the school and feel equally responsible to contribute. Each house has elected two house captains from year 6. The characteristics that we require of our house captains are ; leadership skills; a strong School ‘Spirit’; good organisational skills; a supportive, caring and fair attitude; respectful conduct towards House members and the whole-School community; to be responsible, and a good role model.
